Cornrows are a style of hair braiding, which the hair is braided very close to the scalp, using an underhand, upward motion to make a contionuously, raised row. hair is continuously added throughout to make the hair longer, thicker and to add colour and to protect the natural hair. Cornrows can last from 2/4 weeks.

Box braids are individual plaits that are usually divided by small squared off parts or boxes. Box braids may be of any width or length, with added synthetic hair to the braid for length,  thickness and fullness. The great thing about these braids is because they are not attached to the scalp like cornrows are, they can be manipulated into several styles. Box braids can take upto 6 hours to complete the style, but the finished product is beautiful and can last months.
